M$ Windows and WebDAV support
WebDAV (a file sharing protocol similar to FTP) support in Windows bascially doesn’t exist - if you are lucky you can mount your DAV share as a drive using the built-in stuff, but majority of Windows users can’t do it because of various reasons - bugs, bug-fixes and all that crap.
If you wan’t to make it work - you can use few applications, but if you require (like me) to make the DAV shares act like any other HDD (sorta…) you are bond to fail (almost)
Of course there are some working solutions for example Novell’s Net Drive (works, but it looks like the project is no longer maintained and you have to look for it in strange places). Other app is cald Web Drive - but it’s not free. As a matter of fact - it’s utterly expensive $59.99 per year.
At the end of the day it leaves you with Novells Antiv Netdrive (does the job) or DataFreeway - which is a standalone app, but integrates with Windows pretty well.
Rumors say that MS fixed the WebDAV support with introduction of SP3, but I do not dare to install it. At least not in next 3 weeks.
I couldn’t provide links to all the stuff listed, but I’m in a hurry :) I will fix it later
